This oatmeal recipe is slightly different from what you expect. Yes, it includes oats and cooking. But you can have your oatmeal done in 5 minutes or even less. How awesome is that? Oatmeal is perfect for breakfast
Sometimes the only thing I crave for breakfast is oatmeal. It fills me up until lunch and it gives me a lot of energy. Oats are a superfood for me.
The best part of oatmeal is flavor. Oats have a really neutral, but slightly sweet flavor with is perfect for adding a lot of other things.
You can top your oats with fruits, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, chocolate, or nut butter. There are no boundaries.
Also, If you want to spice it up to your oatmeal, you can add cinnamon, cacao powder, carob powder, vanilla and so much more.
This is why I love porridge so much. You can basically create a different oatmeal every day. It really depends on you and your preferences.
If you want to experiment a little bit, try savory porridge with veggies, tofu, and other delicious things.
Btw, did you know that you can make your own flour out of oats? If you didn't, now you know! And yes I'm telling you oats are really amazing.
This is how you can make this delicious and creamy oatmeal
The first step is not traditional, but it makes your oatmeal really easy to cook and you will be blown away by the consistency.
So, let's go to the kitchen to make the best and extra creamy oatmeal for breakfast!
For the first step, you will need a blender. it doesn't really matter what type of blender you have. It can be a food processor, an electric coffee grinder, or even a high-speed blender. The result will be the same.
The point is, we are trying to blend the oats for better consistency and quicker cooking time.
So put your oats into a blender to achieve flour-like consistency.
This is a very important step.
Next, add blended oats into a pan along with flax meal, soy milk, and water. Cook for a few minutes, until thickness.
Now, it's time for toppings aka the best part. You can add fruits, nuts, seeds, or chocolate on top.
I topped mine with banana and frozen berries. This is by far the best combination.

- 3/4 cup gluten-free oats
- 1 tbsp flax meal
- 3/4 cup soy milk
- 1/2 cup water
- Seasonal fruits
- Firstly, blend oats in a blender into a flour-like consistency.
- Into a pan add blended oats, flax meal, soy milk, and water.
- Cook until creamy. Serve with seasonal fruits, nuts, or even nut butter. Enjoy!
