Gluten-free smoky lentil patties
Another amazing recipe for gluten-free smoky lentil patties. This recipe is absolutely easy to make and very delicious. Smoked paprika works amazingly in a combination with lentils. These patties are great for lunch, dinner, or even as a snack. Serve them in buns or salad and everyone will love it.
Lentils are so healthy for us. They are packed with protein and many minerals and vitamins that are so important for our bodies. Nowadays you can find a variety of lentils, such as red, green, black, etc. In this recipe I personally used green. These ones work best! I love to eat them in this form of patties because you can't even notice that you are eating legumes. After all, lentils are extremely nutritious and very affordable to buy.
I have been loving lentils lately because its cooking time is really short. You can cook them completely in 20 mins, which is awesome. Just dont forget to soak them first at least for 1 hour before cooking. By doing that you can easily digest them.
This recipe is amazing. I personally love the combination of crunchy patties with different spices. In this recipe, I added smoked paprika which worked phenomenally. And dont worry these patties are not crumbly at all. Due to lentils, they stick together perfectly. I also added shredded carrot which makes them so moist! Serve them with mashed potatoes, fresh salad or even into a soft buns, like a burgers.

1 tsp oil
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp veggie stock powder
2 shredded medium-sized carrots
400g of cooked lentils
1 tsp of smoked paprika
1/2 tsp oregano
4 tsp cornflour
In a pan, add a little bit of oil along with finely chopped onion, garlic, and add spices to taste. After a few minutes, add shredded carrots and simmer until the carrots are soft. Finally, add in the cooked lentils and mix it all together.
Put the lentil mixture in a larger bowl and mash it all with a potato masher. Lastly, add in smoked paprika, oregano, and cornflour. Mix everything well and shape the patties. Bake at 170 ° C for 30 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and fresh salad. Enjoy!
