Patties are so easy to make. You can use different types of legumes, veggies, and seasonings. That way you can create new recipe everytime. But this time I created patties out of tvp - textured vegetable protein. This recipe for easy vegan soy patties is so simple to make.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes
Servings: 14 patties
Course: Main Course

Ingredients

  • 200 g soy chunks
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 tbsp powdered vegetable broth *see the notes bellow
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp marjoram /optional
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method

  1. Add soy chunks into a larger pot with water and powdered veggie broth. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on.
  2. When soy chunks are done, strain them and squeeze the leftover water out of them.
  3. Prepare a larger bowl and put the soy chunks in along with mustard and seasonings.
  4. Blend the mixture with a hand blender. It doesn't have to be smooth, but you need to be able to create patties out of the mixture.
  5. Lastly, create patties and bake them 150°C (300F) for about 30 minutes. Serve them with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. Enjoy!

Notes

* you can use veggie broth instead
