Ingredients

  • 8 cabbage leaves
Soy meat filling
  • 3.5 oz soy meat
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp veggie stock powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp veggie stock powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup tomato sauce

Method

  1. First, boil the cabbage leaves in the water for about 5 minutes. Then drain them and set them aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine soy meat, cooked rice, seasonings, and soy sauce. The mixture should be sticky, but you should be able to create a ball in your hands.
  3. Lastly, fry the garlic in the oil until golden, next add dried herbs and tomato sauce. Lastly, season with veggie stock powder and sugar. Cook for about 2 minutes, until the flavors are combined.
  4. The last step is to place about 1/3 cup of the meat mixture in the center of the cabbage roll. Bring in the sides and roll tight. You should be able to have 8 cabbage rolls.
  5. Pour tomato sauce over cabbage rolls and bake them at 200°C for 45 minutes. Serve with cooked potatoes. Enjoy!
