Vegan beet & chickpea burger patties

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g cooked chickpeas
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated beetroot
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 tsp cumin
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp veggie broth powder
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Vegan cheese

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl combine cooked chickpeas, minced garlic, beetroot, mustard, and seasonings.
  2. Use a hand blender or food processor and blend until smooth, but it doesn't have to be perfect.
  3. When the mixture is dry, feel free to add a splash of water.
  4. Create patties using your hand and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
  5. Bake patties for 20 minutes on 170°C (350F) then remove from the oven and add vegan cheese (optional) bake for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with hamburger buns, vegan mayo, and veggies. Enjoy!
