Next, add in mushrooms and green peppers. Cook for a 5 minutes or until fragrant.
Now, it's time to add in crumbled tofu. You can use for to crumble your tofu or you can crumble it in your hands. Whatever works for you. However, it doesn't have to be perfect. You can leave some big chunks as well.
Next, add in turmeric, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for next 5 minutes.
Lastly, add in chopped tomato and cook for a few minutes. When the mixture is too dry, simple add 2 tbsp of unflavored soy milk. This will make the texture more smooth and moist.
Turn the heat off, and sprinkle som kala namak salt on top along with smoked paprika.

The best tofu scramble recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 180 g firm tofu
- 1 large tomato
- 1/3 tsp turmeric
- 1/3 tsp black pepper
- 1/3 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp kala namak salt
- 1/3 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp soy milk
Instructions
- First, prepare a pan and fry the onion with a little bit of oil on medium-high heat. When the onion is golden, add in mushroom and green peppers.
- Cook for about 5-10 minutes and add crushed tofu ( you can use a fork or crumble the tofu in your hands).
- Then add turmeric, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Lastly, add in the freshly cut tomatoes and simmer for a few more minutes. If the mixture is dry, add a little soy milk to make it smooth.
