Mashed potatoes

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Water to cook the potatoes
  • 1/2 cup soy milk
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Vegan and gluten-free gravy

  • 4 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp veggie stock powder
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions 

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Place in a large saucepan or pot and cover with water. Add salt and bring it to a boil. Simmer for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
  • When the potatoes are cooked, drain them and put them back in the pot. Add soy milk, vegan butter, soy milk, and black pepper. Mash your potatoes using a potato masher until fluffy.
  • Next, prepare a small pot and add some oil to fry the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and veggie stock powder. Fry until golden brown. Slowly pour water and whisk so you don't have any lumps of flour visible.
